Weston, Wesley B.: Kick Return Specialist Wesley Brennard Weston was born to Hakeem Weston and Alicia Houston on July 13th, 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up in the projects but at a very early age turned to football as an escape. Football couldn't help his mother though who was killed as she was walking back from work one day. Wesley and his father, then out of money, moved to South Houston to live with his grandmother. Within monthes Wesley's dad found a new wife, and he moved in with her. Wesley embraced Tiffany Hackett, his new stepmother and eventually her children despite their racial differences. Wesley's grandfather was Muslim, his grandmother white, and his new stepmother was black. He always looked as racism as people not looking at character. He exceled in football, finding joy at half back in high school. After graduating, he commited to Sam Houston State, where he played at thrid string half back for three years. He was second string in his last year there. Most people woulnd't see this as NFL player material, but Wesley had a talent he found out about in his freshmen year. After their top four kick returners became injured of some sort, the coach threw Wesley in at kick returner. As the story goes, he made it down that field so fast, his first 40 yards were in under four seconds. He made a name for himself at Sam Houston State by returning more kicks for touchdowns then anyone in school history. Leaving college he was fourth in return yards in NCAA history. After being overlooked by scouts on draft day, Wesley made a name for himself by signing on to the Las Vegas Cavaliers as a Kick Return Specialist.
