Post Game Reports (Cavalier's Week 1) Sunday Night Blitz
Chris Berman: "Oh man, it's been so long everyone. The season has finally started today, and fans were treated with some good games. The Cavaliers faced off against their rivals the Seattle Seahawks. Does old Berman have to break that Seahawks fan's collective hearts again, or did this struggling team have something to finally cheer about. Let's get to the highlights to see."
Tom Jackson: "People have this natural pull towards first overall draft picks. They want to know if they are going to be busts or beasts. Well, Patrick Stansell from UGA looked like a beast on this play, as he finds The Show T.O. on a slant pass, which turns into huge yardage. 91 big yards to be specific.:
Berman: "Well, what do you expect when you get the ball into the hand of Trevor. He is arguably the fas-*test*-('") player in the NFL, and if he has a step on you, you aren't going to catch him. It looks like Stansell is going to make it."
Berman: "The Cavaliers defense looked like it was going to be just as good as last year, even without the the shutdown corner Robbie Young and the consistent Bucknasty Lightning. So the ball is back in the hands of Patrick "I Can Stansell It". It wasn't in his hands that long as he finds the know heatlhy Reggie Woodson on a 39 yard pass for a touchdown."
Jackson: "Yeah, the kid is definetly not looking like a bust so far. I know, I know, it's just one game, but that doesn't mean that you can't already see potential. I am going to go out on a limb and say that he is going to be one of the first overall picks ever, just looking at his mechanics."
Jackson: "The Cavaliers had a reliable person on offense that kind of flew under the radar. The last person that looked as good as this made it into that Hall of Fame, and that was Jerome Bettis. That's right, Lee Ryans did his job again as he punched in a 1 yard touchdown run while squeezing through the defense."
Berman: "For such a big guy, he seems to know how to squeeze through the defenders. I'm wondering if that kid greases himself up with Crisco before each game. I think he won't hit that sophomore slump like some people do. In fact, he wanted to show people that he wasn't goin to go through that slump as he ran in another one on the next Cavaliers possession for a 2 yard touchdown. This time though, he wasn't touched."
Jackson: "Well there was a reason. Rice played to his advantage by having the defense think he was going to throw as he set up four wide. With some good blocking, Ryans was able to just walk the thing in. The Cavaliers look like they are as good as they were going to be last year."
Jackson: "Earlier we were talking about the Cavaliers and their great defense, and we compared them to last year's team. There is one man that helps to the great Cavalier defense image. And that is Omar Lopez. I don't know where he has learned to be as explosive as he is, but whoever taught him did a good job. He picks off this pass, and once he beats out the receiver, he was gone for a 57 yard interception return."
Berman: "HE COULD GO ALL THE WAY. Pretty much anytime that Omar Lopez catches the ball, he only needs to make the receiver miss. If he does that, that means that he is going to bring it all the way for six."
Berman: "The once was a man named Bob Kennison, he's ran before, and he'll run again. That's right Kennison took the handoff and ran it all the way in for a 67 yard touchdwon. If there was anything that the Cavaliers looked bad at last year, it was quote unquote bigger backs, as they break all the Cavaliers tackles."
Jackson: "Besides the broken tackles, there was another thing that the Cavaliers did wrong. They were a little too aggressive, and thought that the Seahawks were going to come out passing. I wouldn't blame them either as the Hawks came out on a 3 wide, 1 tight end set. Bob Kennison did all the work from there."
Jackson: "Would you believe me if I said that Patrick Stansell threw another touchdown pass. Well, you better believe, because it happened. Not only did he throw another touchdown pass, but he threw it to another receiver as he hit up the calmer, less celebratory Jesus Moreno, who did his job and ran it in for a 33 yard touchdown. It looks like the Cavaliers didn't lose a step from last year."
Berman: "You don't get to see many rookies look like a leader on their first day on the field, but Patrick Stansell tried his hardest. It was rumored that he didn't get the warmest welcomes from some of his teammates because they thought that he was too run happy, and wouldn't pass enough."
Berman: "The Hawks were all buy dead when they got this touchdown, but it sure is going to look good in the stat books for Bob Kennison as he ran in a one yard touchdown. It looks like Bob was going to have another good year in the Seahawks clog, which is known for their great run blocking. Hopefully they can rebound after this loss the the Cavaliers today."
Jackson: "There wasn't much that the Cavaliers could do about that touchdown, as their defensive line is now probably their worst position. They would be the worst if Zak Warner wasn't there, because that run stopping machine is the whole anchor for them."
Jackson: "Stansell decided that he was going to have to throw one more touchdown before the day was over, and he made sure that he was going to do that. He didn't get it to anyone different this time, but it doesn't matter as much, as Reggie Woodson would accept it anyways, as that 14 yard touchdown ended the game."
Berman: "The Cavaliers win this game 49-14, and look like they are going to be as good as they were last year. Tom, who was your Primetime Performer?"
Jackson: "I would have to say that mine was Terrell Murphy. Omar Lopez would seem to be the obvious candidate with his touchdown, but Murhpy had a consistently good game, and showed that he could step up in place of the missing Robbie Young. Who would you take Chris?"
Berman: "I couldn't belive that you didn't take Patrick Stansell. THAT KID LIT IT UP. 4 touchdowns and only one interception in his rookie debut, give that kid a medal. That is all the time we have, so for Tom Jackson and the rest of the crew, goodnight."

(Browns Week 1) The Brownout J.J.Jackson:"Hi I'm J.J. Jackson alongside with my good friend Nick Peterson and you're watching the Browns postgame show. Lets start off with the pregame cerimonies. Today was a very emotional day as the rookie offensive captain Chris Johnson called the cointoss, and elected to kick.
Nick Peterson: "And what a kick it was by the young Josh Akers. A touchback that set the Colts on their 20 yard line. They wouldn't be able to make anything of it, though, and the ball is in possesion of the young Cleveland offense."
JJJ:"Chris Johnson came out of the huddle to the applause of the fans, and looked a bit rusty at first, but on 3rd and 7 on Indi's 28 he found his wide open tight end Brett Chabidon ffor a 28 yard strike. What a way to start off the season."
NP: "Akers kicked the extra point right down the middle and again kicked it off, this time putting the Colts in fairly good position. The offense stalled again though, and again was forced to punt."
JJJ:"A great beginning for this Browns defense who are shutting down this Colts offense led by Leftwich.
Johnson comes back onto the field and drives the team into fieldgoal range. Akers kicks a 42 yard fieldgoal that was close to hitting the upright."
NP: "After yet another kickoff, the Indy offense looked like it was going to stall yet again with a 3rd and long from their own 24 yard line. Surprisingly, Byron Leftwich attacked arguably the best DB on the Browns, Robbie Young, and who would have thought he would complete it to the rookie out of UCLA, Dwight Swayne who ran it in for the long touchdown to put them within 3."
JJJ:"The Browns offense came back onto the field and couldnt get anything going, DeAngelo Tomlinson was stopped on third and short. The punt marked the end of the first quarter."
NP: "The second quarter started off with a bang as Leftwich drove the team down field and into field goal range. Peter Conley came out and kicked a 32 yarder right down the center."
JJJ:"Brandon Davis received the kick and brought it up to the Browns 31 yard line. Tomlinson was stuffed on his 2nd run of the night. Johnson threw an incomplete pass, and then on 3rd and 9 tried to scramble for the first as the play broke down, but came up 2 yards short. The Browns punted the ball with 0:59 left on the clock."
NP: "JJ, you know I've always believed in karma, both good and bad. If you're Byron Leftwich, it was bad. If you were Robbie Young, it was great. Young picks off Leftwich and outruns the whole defense 70 yards for the pick six. He does a little dance in the end zone. He's no Chad Johnson, that's for sure."
JJJ:"Haha right you are Nate. That marked the end of the first half with the Browns on top 17-10. The Browns received the ball in the 3rd quarter. Davis kneeled it down for a touchback. Johnshon, hoping to get something started. Led the team to a few firstdowns before being picked off by Indianapolis' standout corner Chris Tucker."
NP: "Yeah, that was an ugly throw, way off the mark, plus it put the Colts into scoring position. But karma once again balanced things off. LB Chris Lebron absolutely killed the young Tyrone Cottrell as he was coming through the whole. Cottrell lost the ball and probably his lunch here, and he would have to leave the game."
JJJ:"Once again Cleveland couldn't get anything going on the ground. resulting in yet another punt. Leftwich took a lengthy drive down the field which ended on a 12 yard pass to Harris to put the score to tie the game. 17-up. Things aren't looking so good for this young Browns offense lately have they Nick?"
NP: "No, they're certainly not. That is how the fourth quarter would end, and this was certainly a thrilling one. The Cleveland offense had incompletion after incompletion and they didn't seem to have much confidence in their running game. They gave it back to the Colts and Indy was fairly close now. Leftwich drove the team down the field and reminded fans of the old Peyton Manning-led Colts. The Cleveland D made a great stop inside the 10 and held Indy to just a 23 yard FG by Conley. It did put the Colts up by 3 though.
JJJ:"This is where the game would get really interesting. With 0:36 left to play and 2 timeouts Johnson hooked up with a HUGE pass play over to Timmothy Phillips for a gain of 35. They tried getting closer, but after a few failed attempts Josh Akers comes onto the field. A 53 yard monster to send it into overtime was what he was currently facing. Johnson takes the snap, lays it down, and Akers blasts it.....ITS GOOD as time expires. 20-20 going into overtime. Indi wins the coinflip and elects to receive."
NP: "Yeah, but as hard as he tried, Leftwich simply couldn't get anything started. The Colts punted it to the Browns and Chris Johnson took the game into his hands. He found nearly every receiver on the field until he was faced with 3rd and 11 on his own 45. He dumped it off to the seldom used DeAngelo Tomlinson, who made a few players look silly before diving forward. The measurement said it was a first down. Johnson then had another 3rd and about 5 on what would be a 60 yarder if he couldn't do anything. He dropped back, looked left, and saw nothing. He sprinted to his right and took off. But a vicious hit by a Colts defender planted him into the ground. He was down and almost out. But he got up and walked off the field. Josh Akers came in, and I'll let you take it from here JJ."
JJJ:"Akers was looking at a 32 yarder. The only problem you ask? It was on the wrong hash. He'd have to kick it at a weird angle. Akers took a deep breath as the ball was hiked. He reached the ball in a few steps and planted. His leg running smoothly as he kicked it high into the air. Akers didn't want to see it so he looked at his ground. He was lifted up in a few short seconds by his rowdy teammates who were extatic about this win. The Browns have already one half the amount of games they did last year.
Alright time for the players of the game. I have two. Chris Johnson who didn't have that great of a game, but pieced together the drives when he needed to, and Josh Akers for making those clutch kicks. How about you Nick?"
NP: "Those are great picks, JJ, but I'm going to add in Chris Lebron, who seemed to be in on every play, and Robbie Young, who picked off two balls and returned one of them for a TD.
JJJ:"Thanks for tuning in and have a safe trip home."

Cavaliers Week 2 (Cavaliers Week 2) Sunday The Blitz
Chris Berman: "Hello everyone, I'm Chris Berman, and that is Tom Jackson, and this is the Sunday Night Blitz. Earlier today the Las Vegas Cavaliers faced off against the Detriot Lions, one of their division rivals."
Tom Jackson: "Before the game started, the Cavaliers held a memorial service for their fallen partner Glenn Sneckenberg, who had died earlier this year in a horrible car accident. The service included the retiring of his jersey, acknowledging his impact on the team, and some other things."
Chris Berman: "With the game dedicated to Sneckenberg, the Cavaliers came out like wildcats. They scored first when Reggie Woodson ran in a 6 yard run."
Jackson: "Stansell makes his mark again as he throws another pass under 10 yards for a touchdown. This time he threw a 9 yard pass to Jesus Moreno."
Berman: "Give that man a medal. The Lions have to do better than they are doing now. You are a professional football team, and you are letting a rookie pass all over you like you are some high school team. Get your act together or the Swami senses that the Lions aren't going to be in Detriot for that long."
Tom Jackson: "The one thing that was interesting about that play was that it is a play that Jerry called last week. Fans and foes alike know that once he finds a play that he likes, he will keep calling that play, and that is good news for Reggie Woodson."
Jackson: "The Lions respond...sort of. Matt Bryant comes out and kicks an 18 yard field goal after Drake McDonald stopped David Carr from diving into the endzone."
Berman: "The Cavaliers just looked more alert on that series, and it showed after McDonald stuffed David Carr. All Carr had to do was fall forward and he would have been in, but the Cavaliers weren't going to have it."
Berman: "The Cavaliers have been one of the biggest play making defenses in the league...ever. Omar Lopez and Robbie Young had gotten it done last year, but there is a new player that wants to get his name recognized, and his name is Terrell Murphy. After his big Playoff Performance, he keeps it rolling with a 51 yard interception return."
Jackson: "We said the same thing about Omar Lopez last week, that if you don't hit Terrell Murphy right away, you probably aren't going to catch him, and he is going to bring it all the way in for the touchdown. I'm suprised that Lopez and Murphy don't play on offense, because they have some fantastic awareness, and they are incredibly fast."
Jackson: "This whole year, we are going to be tracking that young man that everyone just calls Stansell. He had himself another good game, albeit smaller numbers. This touchdown pass was a short 6 yard pass to YuSun Tang, a player that seems to have grown up season by season. Tang is going to be a great leader in years to come."
Berman: "It's funny watching that play, cause Tang got ate up by the Turf Monster. It's probably a good thing that he was in the endzone, because he stumbled pretty badly. He got up though, and he was alright."
Berman: "Stanseel doesn't only throw, he runs too, and defenses don't account for that well. He looked like Michael Vick as he squeezed in this 2 yard touchdown to put the Cavaliers up even further."
Jackson: "I'm sorry, but he is going to be one of the grea-*test*-('") players in this era of football. With Vince Young dominanting, and Michael Vick right behind, it is apperent that this is going to be a run and gun era, where you have to be able to make plays with your feets as well as your arm."
Jackson: "Bryant comes back out a little later and kicks a 42 yard field goal."
Sorry guys, but I just feel asleep while posting this so here is the rest of the score and stats. I'm just dead tired.

Week 2 Browns Browns Week 2
*Browns Post-game Report*
JJJ:"Welcome all I'm J.J. Jackson and you're watching the Browns post-game show. Its week two, and the Cleveland Browns took on the Seattle Seahawks. My colleague Nick Peterson couldn't be here today,"
JJJ: "Lets start off with some first quarter action. The Seahawks elected to receive and Quarterback Kevin Burrough orchestrated a magnificent drive utilizing both the air and ground attacks and capped off the drive with a 30 yard pass to wide open Dodson. Browns Quarterback Chris Johnson wasn't having any of that as he answered back with a touchdown pass of his own, a 7 yarder to Timmothy Phillips. After a big interception by Chris Lebron ended the promising drive for the Seahawks the 2nd quarter began"
JJJ: "The Browns had a lot of field ahead of them and relied on the legs of Tomlinson to take them there. Tomlinson pounded out yard after yard and led the team into fieldgoal position where he was stopped on 3rd and 2. Josh Akers kicked a 48 yarder to put the Browns ahead 10-7. After another huge interception, this time by Robbie Young, which led to another Browns touchdown on a pass from Johnson to Davis. There was no more scoring for the rest of the half."
JJJ: "The game was over at the half, I'll just summarize the rest of the game. 3rd Quarter
CLE 40 yard pass from Johnson to Boman (Akers Kick) 3:48
SEA 75 yard pass from Burrough to Woods (Clausen Kick) 3:19
CLE 5 yard pass from Johnson to Philips (Akers Kick) 1:14
CLE 3 yard run by Tomlinson (Akers Kick) 1:03
4th Quarter
CLE 33 yard field goal by Akers 3:37
Browns win 41-14
My MVP for this game is Tomlinson. He was a defenses nightmere. Punding the ball for over 140 yards and a touchdown to go with it.Thanks for watching production, and have a safe night all."
Sorry it was no where near to as good as the last, it was kind of weird to figure out how to write this myself. Next games should should be better
PhillyPride88- 12-29-2006
(Cavaliers Week 3) The Sunday Blitz
Tom Jackson: "Hey there folks, welcome to the Blitz. This week had some great games, and one of the better ones in my opinions was the Cavaliers versus Broncos game."
Chris Berman: "Oh yeah, that was probably my favorite of the week as well. But that game started off so slow."
Tom Jackson: "Yeah it did, no scoring until a minute left in the second quarter, and that almost didn't happen as Martin Gramatica almost missed it."
Berman: "It wasn't that far off, but it is obvious that Mr. Automatica has his age catching up to him, as he really had to put some effort into that kick. But it was worth it, just to see him do his little dance, good thing he didn't pull or break anything."
Jackson: "The game went as fans expected, and the Cavaliers were shocked. They were being dominated by the Broncos all day, and they were lucky to get that first touchdown, that short 3 yard pass from Stansell to Moreno."
Berman: "That was a big score though, as everyone knew that it was going to be a defensive struggle. And what's up with Moreno within the 10 yard line. He is starting to look like a tight end with all those matches. People must think that he is too pretty too hit."
Jackson: "Now here was the most phenominal play in my opinion. People have questioned Matt Lynch's sanity every once in awhile, but they can't doubt his talent, and he showed it again after he blasted a 59 yard field goal. It was straight down the middle too."
Berman: "That kid is going to be in the Hall of Fame, he is going to have his bust in Canton. He is revolutionizing the kicking world with his new kicking technique that improves distance and accuracy. It would be a shock it he doesn't go to Canton."
Jackson: "His next one wasn't as large, but he did kick through a 50 yarder just a little while after that."
Berman: "Now you said that Lynch's kick was the best play of the game, but I am going to have to disagree with you. Terrell "Murph and Run" had three interceptions in the game, and he had a huge return on one of those too. He picked off the quarterback and ran it all the way back for a 29 yard interception return."
Jackson: "Yeah, I guess that was a pretty big play. After that, it was obvious that the Broncos weren't going to be able to win this game. Not just because they were behind, but they were just deflated. It looked like Denver just wanted the clock to run out just so they can go home."
Berman: "The game finished up with one more Cavalier field goal, a 55 yarder, to end the game 23-3. I would have to say that the reason that the Cavaliers won that game was because of Terrell Murphy. Every time that the Broncos started to move, Murphy would either make a huge tackle or an interception. What a second great game in a row."
Jackson: "I know you are going to laugh, but I am going to say that Matt Lynch was the MVP player in this game. I mean, he kicked three field goals, all for over 50 yards. The Cavaliers might not have been able to get into the endzone, but they definetly could rely on Lynch."
PhillyPride88- 01-03-2007
Chris Berman's Report Chris Bermans Week 4 Post Game Report
Chris Berman: "There was some breaking news just last night, as some of you may have heard. In a huge move, the Cavaliers end up trading for Robbie Young, Buck Lightning, Timothy Philips, DeAngelo Tomlinson, Kenny Williams, and Brock Smith. The full details of that trade can be seen later on ESPN. The Cavaliers also signed rookies MLB Noel Harrison and FS Lamont Bolt. So how did all these moves affect the outcome of the game, well you will just have to sit back and watch."
"It looked like Stansell liked all the new receivers, as he hit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 different players on passes. To kick off the scoring, he found The Rock Reggie Woodson for a 21 yard touchdown. It seems like the chemistry of the team was decent as rookie DeAngelo Tomlinson was the first one to get to Woodson, and they shared a little celebration."
"Swami says, karma is...not that bad sometimes. After dinking and dunking again, Tomlinson ran in a 1 yard run for the touchdown. It seems like Jerry's new two halfback set is going to work out just fine."
"Earlier I mentioned who was being signed, I failed to mention that the Cavaliers also picked up Josh Akers for security. And what a great move, because he was able to sit on the bench as he watched Matt Lynch punch through a 24 yarder to expand the lead. In the third, he come back out and booted a 54 yarder, which he actually almost missed, just squeezing it in the left corssbar."
"Tomlinson wasn't the only just traded players to get a touchdown. But the next person to do it was kind of suprising. The Cavaliers Defensive Back Coach must put something in the water, because rookie cornerback Kenny Williams picked off the pass, and ran it in 37 yards to paydirt."
"The Falcons didn't want to take this whooping silently, as Norv The Burner Turner comes out and ran 40 yards to the great green patch in the sky. The Falcons were still down by 20."
"Vick came right back on his next position as he hooked up with Vick for a 14 yard pass to Michael Jenkins, touchdown. Ron Mexico...I mean, Michael Vick, did a good job keeping his concentrating and finding Jenkins for hte strike."
"Matt You Better Belive It's Still a Cinch Lynch comes out and kicks the 46 yarder to end the game."
"The Cavaliers come out and win 30-14, keeping that undefeated streak going."
Bermans Offensive Player of the Game:
DeAngelo Tomlinson and Reggie Woodson: Combined for the Only Offensive Touchdowns
Bermans Defensive Player of the Game:
Kenny Williams: First Career Interception and First Carerr Interception Touchdown
